"The Purpose of Christmas"

Have you ever asked yourself, "What is the real purpose of Christmas?"

A reporter from FOX Business interviews Pastor Rick Warren regarding the meaning of Christmas.

Pastor Rick shares about "getting back to the real purpose of Christmas".

Pastor Rick's celebration of Christmas of 51 years is something we all should think about intigrating into our own homes.

Making new traditions:
* Hold a birthday party for Jesus
* Sing Christmas carols
* Read "The Christmas Story" (Matthew 1:18 - Matthew 2:23)
* Share what you are most thankful to God for - "Attitude of Gratitude".
* Gifts for Jesus: Share non-material things you have given to Jesus. Life, time, wisdom, commitment and service.
* Make/buy a birthday cake for Jesus and sing "Happy Birthday" to Him.
* The youngest in the family blows out the candle

These are radical ideas. Ideas that are against what our culture would say Christmas is all about. You will be getting rid of the "me" attitude and focusing on the "gratitude" of the real life gift-giver, Jesus Christ.

Make it about celebrating all the wonderful things Christ has done for you-- starting with His birth here on Earth.

If you need to be 'told' how to celebrate Christmas ... something is truly wrong. Especially, if you are a Christian! If perhaps we would pick up the Bible & read it for ourselves & accept the 'truth' it provides ... we might take a second look at all the 'things' that we do that are basically ... non- Christ -like.

Have we not come to the maturity of Christianity where we can direct our lives in the truest manner of being more Christ like everyday? Or are we still allowing everyone else to dictate to us how our life in faith should be lived. Come on dear people ... meet the real Christ & be changed forever!

Peace on Earth & Goodwill to All Mankind ...
